Hallelujah!!!

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was with God in the beginning.
3 Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made.
4 In Him was life, and that life was the light of all Mankind.
5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it (and never will! Hallelujah,  Amen.)

John 1:1-5

Effective biblical teaching relies on anchoring lessons in scripture, revealing God’s character, and guiding students toward personal application.

Key Steps for Teaching a Lesson

  • Present the Scripture Soundly: Study the passage in multiple translations, identify the main context, and show that your lesson originates directly from God’s Word rather than a personal opinion.
  • Reveal God’s Character: Focus on what the passage shows about God’s nature, promises, and expectations rather than just telling a moral story.
  • Lead to Personal Application: Ask guiding questions that help students discover how to apply the truth to their own lives so they become “doers of the word”.
