God Created ME/us; the World. We are here for a purpose! His purpose and reason
According to biblical and Christian teaching, humanity and the world were created intentionally by God with specific, meaningful purposes rather than by chance.
Core Purposes for Human Existence
• To Glorify God: Humans are created to reflect God’s character, praise Him, and display His glory (Isaiah 43:7, Revelation 4:11).
• To Know and Love Him: God desires personal relationship and fellowship, inviting people to know, love, and enjoy Him rather than treating existence as a mechanical obligation (John 17:3, Psalm 16:5-11).
• To Bear His Image and Rule: Genesis 1:26–28 describes humanity as image-bearers tasked with stewarding and caring for creation.
• To Do Good Works: Believers are equipped with unique traits, talents, and spiritual gifts to serve others, build community, and share the gospel (Ephesians 2:10).
Perspectives on Purpose
• The Biblical View: Sources like GotQuestions.org emphasize that God is self-sufficient and created out of His own perfect will—not out of loneliness or a sense of lack—crowning humanity with value and intent.
• Diverse Viewpoints: Discussions on platforms like Reddit r/Christian show mixed opinions, where while many find deep comfort and direction in a designed purpose, others wrestle with how individual choice, suffering, and divine intent intersect.
