Dear God, thank You for bringing me through another day. As I get ready to rest tonight, I’m asking You to help me see through the lie that more will finally satisfy me. Your Word in Hebrews 13:5 says, “Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have.” God, I’ve been blessed in ways I can’t see fully; You awoke me this morning, blessed and guided me through the day, Hallelujah!!!
I still catch myself chasing after the next thing believing it’ll finally bring me peace. Show me tonight where I’ve believed that lie and help me find peace in You instead of in what I can get. I don’t want more to keep being the thing I think I need. You know ALL things…. I want know, believe, and live the fact that You are more than enough. Through You, I have all I need, Hallelujah!!!
I give this night completely to You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

- The Verse: Written by the Apostle Paul to Timothy, the passage contrasts true spiritual wealth with the false teachings of people who treated religion as a way to get rich.
- Godliness: Living a life of active reverence, obedience, and fellowship with God.
- Contentment: Being satisfied with God’s provision—specifically basic needs like food and clothing—rather than chasing temporary material wealth.
- The “Great Gain”: True profit is eternal and brings inner peace, free from the greed, envy, and ruin that come with loving money.
Godliness with contentment is great gain.
