To give every individual a chance; the Word of God was made Man! He was tempted, suffered death and was laid in a tomb. I am led to know in my heart that Jesus – The Word of God; first went to Hades to save countless souls; then rarely experienced He rose from the dead! Hallelujah!!! Our choices are simple: believe, recieve and be saved for eternity in God’s Presence. Alternatively; we may decide on not accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior. There is a choice that essentially guarantees your forever in the Presence of Love, or not!
explore scriptures that speak about Jesus’s descent into Hades
Key scriptural passages and texts address the traditional concept of Jesus’s descent into Hades (often called the “Harrowing of Hell”): Primary Biblical Passages:
1 Peter 3:18–20: States that Christ, made alive in the Spirit, “went and made proclamation to the imprisoned spirits—to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah”. This is the most heavily cited text for the descent.
1 Peter 4:6: Mentions that “the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead,” which some traditions connect to Christ’s journey into the realm of the dead.
Ephesians 4:8–10: Explains that Christ “ascended higher than all the heavens”, noting first that “he also descended to the lower, earthly regions” or lower parts of the earth.
Acts 2:27, 31 (quoting Psalm 16:10): Proclaims that God will not abandon Jesus’s soul to Hades (the Greek word for the underworld or grave) nor let His flesh see decay.
Colossians 2:15: Describes Christ disarming the “powers and authorities”, making a public spectacle of them and triumphing over them, which many interpreters tie to a victory march through the underworld.

A WHISPER FROM HEAVEN!
When something is right, it is just, true, moral and harmless; to be wrong is directly opposite to this. By our fallen nature, we often flow by the prevalent trends regardless of its/their quality and values, as long as it gives us a brief ‘relief’ or pleasure. Such uninformed choices have landed many in eternal regret!

“Therefore, to him who knows to do GOOD and does not do it, to him it is SIN.”- Jam. 4:17.
Reflection: Our natural instincts need divine polish to discern aright.
The idea that our natural instincts need divine polish to discern aright resonates deeply with the core biblical teachings on wisdom, human nature, and spiritual discernment.
While the exact phrase “divine polish” is modern, the Bible consistently teaches that human instinct and intellect alone are prone to error and require God’s transformation to truly see, understand, and choose what is good.
Here is how this concept breaks down across scripture:
⚙️ The Limitation of Human Instinct
The Bible frequently warns that relying solely on our natural desires, emotions, or “gut feelings” can lead us astray.
- The heart’s deception: “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?” (Jeremiah 17:9).
- The illusion of rightness: “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.” (Proverbs 14:12).
✨ The Process of “Divine Polish”
Scripture describes this refinement not just as an external cleanup, but as a complete renewal of how we think and perceive the world.
- Renewing the mind: “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” (Romans 12:2).
- Purification like metal: The Bible often uses the metaphor of a refiner’s fire to describe how God purifies our character and instincts. “And I will put this third into the fire, and refine them as one refines silver, and test them as gold is tested.” (Zechariah 13:9).
👁️ True Discernment as a Gift
According to the New Testament, spiritual discernment—the ability to judge rightly—is not a natural human talent but a capability given by the Holy Spirit.
- The spiritual lens: “The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to whom, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.” (1 Corinthians 2:14).
- The role of scripture: God’s word acts as the tool that sharpens our instincts. “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit… and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12).
In short, “divine polish” is what the Bible calls sanctification—the ongoing work of God transforming our natural, flawed instincts into a refined, spiritual wisdom that can see life through His perspective.
The gospel truth here is that godliness isn’t subject to man’s opinions, no one can devalue it, and so a person of integrity would not mind the external forces against it. Sadly, many believe in doing good or right, they want to obey God but then still willingly avoids it for the fear of social stigma, or opposition; such are not of Christ… So, let’s mind our ways in this tempting world!

It is well.🙏🔥
