There is no impossible with God! I have been lead to meditate on Creation. Mind you, there was no blueprint! Yes! Heaven and heavenly beings existed! Look at the galaxies; there is nothing like Earth!
Earth is unique in our current understanding of the cosmos, sitting as a rare rocky oasis among an estimated 2 trillion galaxies in the observable universe.
The Scale of the Universe
- Milky Way Size: Our galaxy contains roughly 200 billion to 400 billion stars and spans about 100,000 light-years across.
- Earth’s Footprint: If the Milky Way were scaled down to the size of a basketball, Earth would be smaller than a grain of sand.
- Billions of Planets: Scientists estimate there could be billions of potentially rocky or Earth-sized planets across the galaxy, yet active life-sustaining conditions like ours remain unverified elsewhere.
Why Earth Stands Out
- Liquid Water and Atmosphere: Most distant exoplanets discovered so far—such as gas giants like HD 189733b or sub-brown dwarfs—feature extreme, hostile environments with scorching temperatures, glass rains, or crushing pressures.
- Time and Light: Because light travels at a finite speed, looking out at deep space means looking back in time; when we peer at distant galaxies like Andromeda (2.5 million light-years away), we see light that left long before modern humanity existed.
This blows my mind! God Created all this! We could pick at this with a fine tooth comb! But, why??? My focus needs to be being in The Presence of the Creator of ALL things! That is my goal!!!
We could/can muster, meditate, think 🤔 on/about Creation! But, it is the desire of/for The Presence of the Creator of all things amazing that fills my heart!
I am moved to share, there is the absence of the Creator in the after life! To very briefly touch on this… Where does The Presence of God cease?
The Presence of God does not cease anywhere in creation, because God is omnipresent (present everywhere at the same time).
In theological and biblical terms, how God’s presence is experienced depends on the context:
- Omnipresence (Everywhere): God sustains all creation, meaning there is no physical or spiritual location—including heaven, earth, or even hell—where God is completely absent. In places like hell, God is present not in relational fellowship, but in power, justice, and the enforcement of moral reality. [1, 2]
- Covenant and Manifest Presence (Felt Fellowship): While God is everywhere, humans can experience a withdrawal of His conscious fellowship or manifest presence due to sin, spiritual dryness, or seasons of testing. However, according to scripture (such as Hebrews 13:5), His commitment to believers never actually ceases.
- The Unmediated Face-to-Face Presence: Humans currently live with the limitation of not being able to see God’s unmediated face or full glory due to mortal and fallen nature. That complete, direct presence is understood in Christian theology to be realized fully in the New Heaven and New Earth.
View 1: God is Present in Wrath and Judgment
- Omnipresence: Proponents of this view argue that God is omnipresent, meaning He exists everywhere, including Sheol or Hell (Psalm 139:7–8).
- Presence of the Lamb: Passages like Revelation 14:10 state that torment occurs “in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb,” suggesting divine awareness and observation.
- Active Justice: In this view, Hell is not characterized by the absence of God’s essence, but by the absence of His grace, mercy, and fellowship—replaced instead by the direct experience of His righteous wrath and judgment as a “consuming fire” (Hebrews 12:29; see commentary by Ligonier Ministries).
View 2: God is Absent in Fellowship and Favor
- Separation from the Lord: Proponents of this view point to 2 Thessalonians 1:9, which describes the lost as suffering “away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His might”. [1, 2]
- Turning the Face Away: This interpretation understands “separation” as a relational idiom (similar to God turning His face away), meaning the complete deprivation of His blessing, peace, and loving countenance. [1, 2]
- Distinction from Omnipresence: Some theologians argue that while God sustains all creation, His personal and relational presence does not extend to Hell in any meaningful or comforting sense, making that total severance the core definition of eternal punishment.
